A TASTE OF TRADITION

Gran started her cooking adventures when she was a child cooking with her Dad. Gran’s father was a chef in his own right. Gourmet meals most weekends for crowds of people that were invited over for dinner, sometimes 6 people, sometimes 20 people her Dad was cooking for, Gran was right by his side. Her Dad didn’t like to bake so while he was cooking the main course, she was baking cakes or pies to accompany his meals.

Gran’s cooking started taking on a new meaning when she was asked to cook for the Girl Scouts which sometimes included no less than 200 girls and their mothers at a Mother Daughter weekend, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Boy Scout’s enjoyed some of her chopped beef sandwiches for various Boy Scouts events.

Gran continues to receive raving reviews of her cooking from her Church, family and friends and has hosted many parties and family events with melas she has prepared.
